Cellmania announced the Cellmania Content Widget, an extension to the Cellmania
Platform that allows Network Operators
and Consumer Brands to manage and publish their content directly to the mobile
phone’s home (idle) screen. Mobile
Consumers benefit from a having a highly personalized news, information and
entertainment experience in the convenience of a widget and
application.
“As zero-click, and increasingly zero-touch, access becomes the norm on mobile
phones, it becomes
paramount to publish content directly to the home screen,” said Dr. Ronjon Nag,
Cellmania’s CEO. “Our new solution provides our customers with another way to
reach and engage with mobile users for customer relationship management, content
merchandising and content consumption.”
Network Operators and Consumer Brands can customize the look and feel of the Widget
remotely to meet their branding needs and business objectives. For example, they
choose what content is available to their mobile users and how often to publish
updates. Content can
originate
from a variety of sources: 3rd Party RSS and ATOM feeds, directly
from their content storefront (e.g. “New Games” or “Top Selling Music This
Week”), or any other information source.
Cellmania’s Platform handles all content ingestion, optimization for the mobile screen, analytics and delivery into the Widget and App.
