I studied Kwon Bup Hard Style Korean Karate in which I hold a black belt and Eagle Dragon Chinese Kenpo Kung Fu in which she holds a green belt. I have taught martial arts for more than twenty five years.
While Program Supervisor at a local assisted living community, I developed a program of seated T’ai Chi Chuan based on the Yang short form. This exercise system was so successful with the elderly and disabled that I wrote a book describing the program. Fair Winds Press, a division of Rockport Publishing Company, bought the book and published it in June 2001.
I continue to teach both seated and standard T’ai Chi to people of all ages and levels of fitness including severely mentally ill adults at a local mental health center. I write a blog of seated exercises at http://chairtaichi.wordpress.com and maintains a store featuring products for the martial arts, yoga, reiki, pilates, feng shui, massage, acupressure and acupuncture, http://www.healingtaichi.com.
